May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
A benevolent Father holding me up yet comforting and shielding me all at the same time. Holding me safe so I may pause just a moment to take a deep breathe and then continue the journey I’m on.
I used to have a small postcard that had this wish upon it – May God hold you in the palm of His hand – it was a beautiful soft moment. I think it’s buried in some treasure box of mine that now that has been called back into mind, will soon appear when I need it.
Just as He gives me nudges and signs when I need them. To keep going. To keep living. To keep believing. To keep hoping in a peaceful world and my place within it.
That I have been called here to do more than act petty at a streetlight or worry of monthly budgets. That I am called here to have a life of true meaning. But it is my choice to make this life have meaning. And if I do choose, He will be there, hand against me guiding me along.
Bless you.
